Date GalA Chick's View: Looks aren't all that matter!
I just read a blog commenting about how in today's society and with every sort of media we are subjected to, if we're ugly we're not going to find love! BULLOCKS!!!! I get so outraged when I hear things like that. I can actually feel steam coming out of my ears. I don't understand why people have to think such negative things because you know what, you do that, you'll just attract negative things into your life!
Sure, there are lots of beautiful people in the world and everyday we see them on TV, in newspaper, in magazines, etc. The thing is, to every individual they are attracted to different kinds of things and people. For instance, Orlando Bloom really does it for me however my best friend can't stand him and prefers Jude Law.
Same goes for people who aren't celebs. I like the sporty, tall kind of guys who are a little bit daggy whereas my friend Lizzy totally adores older, wiser guys who are a little bit crazy!
Do you get the point? We're all attracted to different qualities in people! Enough thinking we're ugly and we're never going to find someone because we think we look like the Elephant Man. We're not - we're all beautiful on the inside and outside. Beauty isn't just what's on the outside - it's about who we are as people as well. Our souls. We could all be supermodels but could be totally self centred, nasty and totally daft. Now that isn't very attractive is it?
We are all beautiful human beings and the universe really does have a plan for us... in terms of work, friends, money and the one person who will make us happy eternally. If we think positive things, then we attract positive things!
Enough whinging, time to get out there and start having fun with dating! Who knows - that girl/guy that keeps checking you out at your favorite cafe bar could think you're the most amazing person they have ever seen. And with your wonderful soul and personality, you're the total package!
