Date Gal - Love, Sex and Relationships

Blokes behaving too well?


There has been a couple of instances over the past few weeks that have lead to me thinking that perhaps blokes have read too much into being a gentleman and have decided to behave a little too nice!!!

I started dating a great guy a few weeks back - we have great chemistry, have fun dates but yet at the end of each date, he never seems to kiss me. Sure he gives me a kiss on the lips but no earth shattering french kiss!

It's started me to question what this guy is all about! My friends think my gaydar is off and perhaps he is gay or perhaps he is married? But I don't think so - there's something there. He just keeps holding back everytime we say good bye! Maybe he's being a gentleman?


My friend Sohpie had a similar scenario last night and she rang me straight after the date complaining that there must be something wrong with her as he didn't kiss her good bye - only a peck on the cheek!

The date went extremely well and there weren't only sparks but fireworks. However when he went to say good night he kissed her on the cheek and said they'll catch up soon!

What on earth is going on with blokes? Could they quite possibly be gay and we need to re check out gaydars? Are they married and having a fling?

Or quite simply are they just being too nice and trying to be too much of a gentlemen?

What could it be?

Sounds like being too much of a genleman than being gay. I guess us guys sometimes try to be too nice which can border on being sickening, but yeah there has to be a balance and you still have to be a man and go after what you want-lifes too short not to.

Hmm.. Im probably not the best one to ask, I know nothing about women,lol. I guess the ball is in their court really- the guys that is. If they are interested they will make a move, otherwise Im not sure whats stopping them, I mean by the sounds of things everything else is going great, maybe their just shy or dont want to rush things, all I can think of.

From my perspective, if they didnt like the girl they wouldnt date her to begin with I think. mean whats the point just wasting their time and the girls time as well. I think maybe their just a lil shy or maybe they dont want to rush things.

That's a good point - you know when gals use to say they didn't want to rush things - maybe it's the guy's turn. They want to have fun and not turn things into a full on relationship?

Yea I think sometimes in life we want everything at once rather than enjoying the moment. Life is more about the journey rather than the destination and I guess the same can be said of relationships.

1 -they want to make you girls feel the "i want more" feeling. It is like a game, at this point, the guys are winning as the girls are demanding for more! So that, the guys get a sort of 'power' over the girl.
2- However, i do not know how you guys here in Australia describe the 'french kiss' because in my country, it is so usual you see a couple kissing on the streets or on the first date.
3-In my opinion, your guy's been too slow, at least he could've kissed you.
4-He is gay!!!!

Oh Fabrizio - I don't take it too seriously! Dating is fun and it doesn't worry me if he doesn't want to kiss me! I'm happy to be friends!
