Is dinner better than SEX?

An interesting report came out today in the Herald Sun (05/10/2006; pg 3) that stated that young women rate dinner than sex!

A Turbo Twentys study, surveyed 570 Australian women in their 20s who preferred a romantic dinner or a massage over sex. 30 percent said they would prefer a romantic dinner, 22.5 per cent said they would like a massage while only 16.6 per cent said they enjoyed sex.

It was also interesting to note that 75 per cent were looking for a partner and 23 per cent said they were happy being unattached (my hand is up here)!

This survey brings up some very interesting thoughts:

-Is good old fashioned romance back? Do today’s women want to see chilvary back in their men?
-Do men need to lift their game - do women find their isn’t enough romance in their lives?
-Is sex overrated? Scary thought but are our sex lives going downhill?
-Are women being more careful when they come to choosing a partner? If 75 per cent are looking for a life long parnter are they taking the slow road of passion and love in hope that that person is the man of their dreams?

What worries me is that women are becoming too busy or not interested in sex. Sex is a healthy part of every relationship and if the spark has been lost then it’s time to address it. Yes dinners and massages are great – but nothing beats mind blowing sex when you’re with the right person. Can you get the same orgasmic feeling from an Indian Curry down the road? Or from the same sex masseause who is massaging your knots in your back? I think not!

I may be wrong! Is dinner and massages really better than sex?

I dont think dinner is better than sex. Maybe dinner is a part of foreplay if that makes sense? Probably not. But what I am trying to say I guess is that a woman should be romanced and doing the little things like cooking dinner or I dunno helping around the house matters, so too does sex, dont get me wrong- all part of a healthy relationship I think.

Timing plays a bigger factor here.

I think grouping the two parts of the statistics provides an implicit suggestion that the romantic dinners and the massage are the best precursor to enjoyable sex.
Meaning that - and particuarly addressing the majority "75 per cent were looking for a partner" bracket - if they had the partner that provided romance and stimulation in a way that wasn't entirely sexual (massage) they would then fall into the 23% that were happy, that no doubt contributed muchly to the 16.6% that preferred sex!

Conclusively, girls want it all and only the minority are happy getting fucked, while the others without decent partners feel fucked about their situation! lol
(you can delete the last part if it's too offensive to post or for sensibilities sake)

We produced original music from '84 til '94. We didn't really play live, it was more about recording music for ourselves, and packaging cassettes (yes, cassettes) for our friends.
Then I became a professional DJ, which I still am.
In the past couple of years I have begun making original music again, this time with my younger brother. We call ourselves Jaywalkers.
