Secret Women's Business: Codenames!
My best friend Madeline and I play a little game when it comes to men where we codename them - yep, we start seeing someone or there is guy in our past who we give a nickname to. It may be because of an encounter we have had with them in which they have warranted this name or we could be completely mean, no longer like them and use it in spite!
Mafia: This is my ex boyfriend who turned out to be quite a special individual. I am sure at the time, I liked him but now I am not so sure. He warrants this name because I always thought he was part of mafia.. strange I know. He was from a Eurpeon background, was incredibly wealthy, idolised every character in the Godfather, had a deep desire to get a gun, and went on secret little trips to the city to see apparent 'friends.' When I told my friends about him, Mafia was the perfect codename for him. Just hope her doesn't read this or I might be found on the bottom of the ocean. He he!
Nate Dog: Madeline met a guy once at a Singles Party. He was incredibly charming but he had some funny qualities about him. He loved to make mixed CDs for Madeline and all her friends and usually these were RnB tunes - he was a big fan of Snoop Dog. Then we would have social occasions, Madeline would bring him along and he would often entertain us on the dancefloor with some serious breakdancing. Although Madeline and Nate Dog didn't last, we will always of fond memories of him!
The Clooney: Okay, so we've changed his name for this blog but I was dating for a little while a quite well known TV celebrity. It was nothing major... few drinks here and there, dinner, breakfast, you get the drift. We never really used his first name because I didn't really want anyone to know. But his name did change after an article was written about him in a gossip column that he was seeing a number of women - quite the social butterfly! So his name went from The Clooney to The Snake - ah isn't the dating world fun???
The Dealer: Yes a harsh name, but again there's a story behind it. Madeline met a nice young man at the bar once - he was quite the eligible bachelor, had a penthouse in the middle of the city, drove a nice car, had expensive taste and travelled a lot for work. After knowing him for a little while, she got suspicious about certain people who turned up at his house and the secret business he was doing! She thought it was all in her head and maybe it was but sometimes you've got to go with your gut feeling and she did - she got the hell out of there!!!
The list is endless but I want you to have a little fun and make up a codename for someone you have dated and tell me your little story... and boys you can take part too!!!
Til next time my dating friends,
DG. x
