Does Sex in the City really exist?
Most of my career life, I have never entered the corporate world, meaning the 9 to 5 job, wearing suits or even dating a man in a suit. It's never interested me and it's more my refusal to be common.
However, this week I am on assignment for my TV work researching the going ons of the bustling CBD of Melbourne and discovering the dating world of the corproate scene.
At 6:45am this morning, I watched as many handsome, young business professionals (both men and women) boarded my train (ok there were some real nerds too) but if you're wanting to meet a corporate suit... start here!
Immediately I saw the attraction to the 'suit.' Clean, crisp, perfectly presented, confidence and oozing power! They were everywhere - so much for people being hard up for a date! Next time, chat to the good looker next to you! Who knows you might find the love of your life or quite simply a traveling buddy!
The before work coffee is another way to meet new people. Perhaps you have a local cafe you visit each morning and see the same good looker each time?
While sitting at a cafe, I was amazed how many good looking professionals were arriving into the city for work - were they in relationships? Gay? Single? Who knows but tell you what the eye candy inspired me to spend more time around suits.
So much for a man drought or men complaining they can't meet professional women with ambition and confidence. They're out there - you just need to check out bars/pubs around town on a Friday night and go introduce yourself to whoever takes your fancy.
