How Sexy is Your Profession?
A study conducted by Fast Impressions was released yesterday stating that DOCTORS are the most dateable profession for both men and women whilst POLITICIANS ranked amongst the least desirable.
Over 400 participants took part in the survey and compared the "sexiness" and "dateability" of 20 professions. The results are as follow:
WHAT DO THE WOMEN THINK?
- 92% of women would date a doctor, followed by lawyers, architects and property consultants (all 88%)
- Athletes were considered the sexiest male profession (78%) followed by firemen (75%) and doctors (69%)
- Whilst 67% of women consider male models sexy, only 56%would be willing to date one
WHAT DO THE MEN THINK?
- Men consider doctors and models to be the most dateable profession (92%), followed closely by nurses, airhostesses, dancers and musicians (all 88%)
- 100% of men agreed models were sexy, followed by dancers (96%), stewardesses (92%) and athletes (88%)
Isn't it interesting that the blokes find the same professions both dateable and sexy? Does that mean they are a tad superficial?
What do you make of these results? Do you agree/ disagree? Is there another profession that should have made the top 5?

Interesting to note that sexy doesn't necessarily equate to dateable so obviously its more than just about looks which is good to see.
However the men - see sexy and dateable as the same thing!!! A little superficial perhaps?
Sorry journalists didn't even make the top 20 - but that doesn't mean they're not dateable or sexy!

Haha, yea Im sure we are dateable and sexy, maybe not trustworthy, read somewhere a while ago that journalists rate alongside mechanics and car salesman in the trustworthy stakes.
With regards to have I ever dated someone solely on the basis of their profession, no, I think that would be incredibly shallow and you would just end up cheating yourself out of happiness.
Be the same as your post yesterday, not dating someone because their breasts are too big or too small.
Havent been dumped because my profession wasnt up to scratch either, which is a good thing

However, stripper, thats a tough one, Im not sure I would be overly comfortable with other men seeing someone Id date comepletely naked, admittedly they dont get to touch but still wouldnt feel right.
How about you, if you were in that position, would you date a male stripper?
I think when two people are together and they are happy = nothing else in the world should matter!

The female professions aren't exactly what you'd consider to be the most intellectually challenging kinds of jobs. Yet the jobs that females find attractive include doctors and architects (sure there's still the model and athlete in there, so there still lots that just want a good looking fella).
Seems to me, that the survey is saying that guys are still more focused on looks. While women want security. I'm disappointed. It's so cliche!
I'm pretty sure HR people didn't rate anywhere on the list. Oh well.

Or perhaps we do our own survey and create our own lists? I know that I for one don't find models sexy, and I can't say I'm in a hurry to date a real estate or property agent . Can't even say I've got a thing for firemen....though apparently lots of girls do.
Sorry no HR professions there but I am sure they would be just out of the 20!
