Is the DATE back?
Ladies and Gentlemen - the date is back!!! Yes - gone are the days of just hooking up at the pub and having a one night stand! People all over the world have returned to the good ole days of DATING!
I came across this revelation as I got into my early 20s. Usually I would just go to parties and the clubs, have a good ole pub pash and that was that. If I wanted to, I could see the guy again but at no stage was there any formal agreement that we were going on a date. Usually it was just another pub pash the next week.
Then when I started working professionally I met a guy at a charity event. I got his details from a friend and the next week I sent him my business card with the words 'Dinner?' on the back! Yes - I asked him out on a date!
The next day I got his business card back with the words 'Bohjass, 7:30pm Friday?' Then it was on! I had a date!
The date was perfect and it ended with a kiss and the suggestion we have a second date. Then it just turned into a relationship! Makes me wonder though - when does it go from dating to a relationship?
Only this week I went on a coffee date. I met a guy at speed dating, we swapped details and caught up for coffee. The coffee date is great when you're not sure about the other person - if it isn't going too well, it's just coffee and it's over in 20 mins. But if it's a riot of a time you could move on to drinks, dinner, etc or just set up another date!
Let's just say my coffee date was successful and a future dinner date is in store.
The beauty of the date is that it is simply that - A date! It can be a one off and if it doesn't work out - c'est la vie! Move on to other dates! The most important thing is that you have fun and think of it was meeting new friends and learning new experiences! And hey - you might score a free coffee, drink or dinner out of it!!! And I am speaking to the guys on that one too - women do pay sometimes as well!
So why not set up a date with the person you fancy, the guy or chick at the gym or the hottie who works in your office! Put the fun back into dating!

Dammit!
I wish dating wasn't back.
Good luck!
P.S - Personally I think dating is much better and you get so much more out of the experience!
By the way, maybe it's my computer, but I can't read your blog without highlighting it to get more contrast between the font and the background.
